A low intensity explosion took place inside court room number 102 in Rohini district court on Thursday morning. A constable has been injured in this. Although officials have said that the blast was of low level, a small part of the floor collapsed. The court proceedings had to be adjourned. There had been an incident of firing there only two months back . Why are such incidents happening one after the other in Delhi's Rohini district court complex?
Two months ago, when the firing incident took place in the Rohini court, questions were raised about the security arrangements in the court premises. Actually, that incident of firing was also very big.
Then the firing was done by gangsters. After this the miscreants had an encounter with the police. Three people were killed in it. Two of those killed were attackers. First, the attackers fired at a gangster during his production and then later the attackers were killed by the police.
The Delhi Police Special Cell was quoted as saying that the attackers had entered the court premises in the guise of lawyers. The assailants opened fire on the gangster Jitendra Mann 'Gogi' as he was brought to Delhi's Rohini court for hearing by the police. Gogi was admitted to the hospital. But the police have said that later Gogi also died. This whole incident raised questions about the security in Delhi.
Now there has been an explosion in the court of Rohini itself. According to the fire department, they received a call at around 10.40 am that an explosion had taken place inside the Rohini court.
We immediately sent seven fire tenders to the spot and around 11.10 am our rescue team told us that one person was injured, the official said.
DCP (Rohini district) Pranav Tayal told 'The Indian Express', 'We have called in FSL experts to find out the exact cause of the blast.'
Delhi Police spokesperson Chinmoy Biswal said, "A minor explosion took place in a laptop bag at around 10.30 am in the Rohini Court premises. The spot has been cordoned off. Forensic and NSG teams are probing it.
The injured has been identified as Constable Rajiv Kumar posted at Sultanpuri police station. He was taken to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital for treatment.
